Pro Drupal Development

Today I got my copy of Pro Drupal Development by John K. VanDyk and Matt Westgate and published by Apress. I've considered myself a Drupal hobbiest, not really developing anything from scratch but merely editing code as needed.

I really wish I had this book a year ago. In the recent months, I have done a lot of studying about how drupal core works, how to use theme overrides, and call core functions. While the API Docs are quite great for function and hook references, this book has done an excellent job expanding on the explanations and example uses. If you're looking to get to the "I kick ass" stage, I would highly recommend this book.
